Conference Venue
People and the Sea VII will take place at a central location, close to the Amsterdam Zoo and within easy reach of public transportation. The ‘Roeterseilandcomplex’ is one of the locations of the University of Amsterdam and its also where the MARE office is located (Plantage Muidergracht 14-16, 1018 TV Amsterdam).
Public transport
The subway (`metro') station nearest to Roeterseiland complex is Weesperplein (line 51, 53, 54, third stop), take the Roeterstraat exit.
If you are taking the tram from central station take number 9 or 14 (get off at Plantage Kerklaan).
From the direction of Leideseplein you can also take tram 7 or tram 10, get off at the stop Weesperplein.
