Editorial Policy
MAST welcomes articles, commentaries, research reports of work in progress, review essays, and book reviews on any aspect relevant to social scientific approaches to maritime studies. Article submissions will be peer-reviewed anonymously by two referees. Please make sure that your manuscripts should conform to the requirements for contributers listed below.
- Manuscripts should be submitted electronically to mast at marecentre.nl;
- Articles should be limited to 10.000 words maximum and include a 150 word abstract;
- Proofs should be carefully corrected and returned to the editors as directed (if page proofs are not returned on time, the editors will send their own corrected copy to the printer). Major alterations to the text cannot be accepted;
- Acknowledgements should not be included in the footnotes but should appear as a separate paragraph following the main text;

Authors will receive one complimentary copy of each issue in which their work appears, and a digital PDF copy of their article. Copyright to all published material is held by MAST. Additional copies may be purchased and can be ordered when an article is accepted for publication.
